Siren´s Lullaby by ELECTRIC HIGH delivers a spaced-out yet tense alt-rock sound. It’s clear ELECTRIC HIGH went into this track with a specific vision, and they’ve delivered from start to finish. The track’s mood ebbs and flows throughout the verses and choruses. It feels most tense during the verses leading to this climax of energy that is released in the chorus. This mixture of emotions allows each section to juxtapose the other. This contrast elevates each tonal moment individually and brings the piece together as a whole.

One of my favourite aspects of the track is the layers of guitars. They interact beautifully. The distorted strumming creates the perfect backbone for the crisp and articulate lead guitar. The guitar feels like the star of the show. The staccato motif, central to the track’s sonic tapestry, comes in at the very beginning and maintains the track’s pace. It provides a melodic underpinning as well as a rhythmic structure at the same time. The punchy energy of the guitar injects the track with an infectious power that keeps the listener engaged from beginning to end. The vocals have a confidence that doubles up on the power established by the guitar. They convey the tension in the verses and the release of the choruses beautifully. You get a sense that the vocalist understands the emotion behind the lyrics as opposed to just singing the words, the delivery becomes part of the narrative itself. The vocals are backed up by a harmony that gives the song a united spirit. As a listener, it immerses you within the soundscape with the harmonies adding emphasis to the lyrics.
Overall, this track delivers through its intense and bold guitar execution as well as its confident vocal performance. The track exudes power from start to finish through the tension and release. I’m impressed by how ELECTRIC HIGH brought their vision to life.
